This was my old review in spring 2009: "i tried this bird feeder for couple of weeks with and without the cage, birds still couldn't learn to feed from it. I am puzzled with the positive reviews here. Especially the cage is blocking even small birds from landing properly. I have a regular feeder which has been attracting more.". Things have changed in summer 2009: I had one old bird feeder that birds were already coming. I replaced that one with this one at the "same" location. When same birds showed, they spent the time to figoure out how to feed from this one. Once a few birds learned, the rest copied from them. Now canaries are fighting with each other to feed, works very well, low maintanance.
At last, a weather proof feeder.
I couldn't be happier. It is so great not to have the bird seed getting wet from rain and snow. It was really fun watching the birds, one by one, learning how to get the sunflower seed from the feeder.

Loved the convenience of the remote thermometer. It made frying the turkey so much easier

If you are into deep frying turkeys in the winter then this is a "MUST HAVE" tool.
They're fine!
The star rating is off because this is an ornament, not a toy. For the price...they're nice. Probably the only drawback is the metal post type legs..would prefer they were at least painted black to look more realistic, but no big deal.
Actually, I ended up putting one of them in a tropical house plant pot on my sun porch...they're fun.

This was a goofy birthday present for my girlfriend, we live in Florida and she had mentioned wanting some tacky pink flamingos for the yard. Voila! They are plastic, cheap and exactly what I was looking for!

Wouldn't consider this a 'toy' with long pointy metal rods, I would be nervous letting children around them when they are not firmly planted in the earth. Good size, fun looking. Just the thing for decorating your 'friends' lawn. Price was a bit high, but other than that we were really pleased.

These are worth every penny! Don't skimp on the bulbs
I've had 3 aerogardens (all 7-pod) going since November '08. They are all in the same room and on the same 'lights on/off' schedule so I never really noticed the bulbs getting dimmer. Because they appeared to be fine, I didn't change them with the second planting. Nor the third...ACK!!! Out of 3 new garden plantings, 2 failed completely and the third looked like a scene out of Terminator Salvation! Horrid.
I had replacement bulbs for each unit stored in the cabinet, but just didn't think they actually needed replacing. When I ruined those 3 new 'gardens', I decided maybe, just maybe, the instructions knew more than this smarty-pants did.
I wondered if it truly was my lack of attention to detail or just a few compromised seed pod sets (I was betting on the latter, of course!) I left the sick, decrepit gardens in place and changed the bulbs in all 3 classic units. Holy Cow, did I need my sunglasses and sunscreen! Such brightness! I never realized how dull the old bulbs had gotten until I changed them. Within 2 days of the new bulbs being in place, all 3 gardens began to revive. That was 2 weeks ago and now I have healthy, abundant, great looking romaine, baby greens and tomatoes growing again. I thought I was going to have to trash those entire gardens and order new sets but the bulb change was nothing short of awesome. Never again will I pinch pennies and try to make the bulbs last longer than they should.
Change the bulbs as instructed. Your gardens will be astronomical!
you dont have any choice
if you need bulbs , theres only one that will fit . the areo gro bulb . all these bulbs come from the same place so why not buy it here . one click shopping makes it easy . i saw them in a week . well packed ..... and BRIGHT
